Habesha Cement Share Co. is a cement producer operating in Ethiopia engaged in the production of two types of cement: Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) and Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). The production plant of Habesha Cement is located in Oromia regional state, in Welmera Woreda, Holeta town, 35km from Addis Ababa. The plant is located at a convenient distance from the required raw material deposits and the main cement market, Addis Ababa, and its surroundings. Currently, the plant has a capacity of producing 3,000 tons of clinker and 4,500 tons of Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) per day, which is 1.4 million tons per year at full operation. The plant has been operational since its inauguration in mid-January 2017 with a production of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) Class 42.5 and Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) Class 32.5. Besides its cement products, the company plans to produce and market Aggregate Ready Mix Concrete and Gypsum Boards.
