Oromia Science and Technology Authority (OSTA) is a regional government institution in Oromia Region of Ethiopia responsible for promoting science, technology, and innovation to support economic and social development. The authority was established in 2011 to strengthen research activities, encourage technological development, and facilitate the transfer of technology to industries, institutions, and communities within the region. The main objective of the Oromia Science and Technology Authority is to enhance innovation and technological capacity by supporting research projects, promoting collaboration between universities and industries, and encouraging the development and adoption of new technologies. The authority also works on technology transfer, intellectual property support, innovation incubation, and capacity building for researchers and entrepreneurs.
