Facilities
The Institute shall have the following powers and duties: initiate policy, strategy and action plans that facilitate the building of competitive construction project management national capacity, and implement same upon approval by the government; identify gaps in construction project management and provide practical trainings in collaboration with the appropriate bodies; facilitate the certification of construction project management professionals at international standard level and the engagement of professionals on the basis of their skill and competence level; Identify and disseminate, throughout the industry, appropriate construction project management methodologies that contribute to the development and transfer of technology; develop and publicize unified construction project management system that defines the joint individual and responsibilities of project owners, contractors, and consultants; provide consultancy services in the field of construction project management; collect, analyze, organize and, as may be appropriate, disseminate to users data necessary for the building of construction project management capacity; conduct studies and researches to expand and deepen modern construction project management skills and knowledge; prepare and conduct practical trainings on technologies and technical matters, and other tailor made trainings that assist the enhancement of construction project management skills; cooperate with local and foreign governmental and private institutions and professional associations having similar objectives and also encourage similar co-operation among private institutions; undertake benchmarking studies that facilitate the competitiveness of construction project delivery and provide support to those conducting similar activity; cooperate with higher education institutions on construction program and project management skill development, conduct joint research activities and assist the strengthening of local research capacity across the sector; charge fees for the service it renders in accordance with the rate to be determined by the government; own property, enter into contracts, sue and be sued in its own name; perform other related activities necessary for the attainment of its objective
