The Amhara Forest Enterprise (AFE) is a state-owned entity established in 2009 by the Amhara Regional Government (Regulation No. 70/2009) to develop, manage, and sustainably use forest resources. Based in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, AFE focuses on commercial forest production, supplying wood products, creating jobs, and implementing "breeding seedling orchards" (BSOs) for high-quality tree seeds.
