East Africa Bottling Share Company (EABSC), a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), is the largest Coca-Cola bottler in Ethiopia. It was originally established as Ethiopian Bottling SC in 1959, with a plant in Addis Ababa, and later expanded to Dire Dawa in 1965. The company was nationalized in 1975, but was re-acquired by Ethiopian entrepreneurs in 1996 and later partnered with Coca-Cola SABCO. In 2001, Coca-Cola SABCO increased its share to 61%, and the company was renamed East Africa Bottling Share Company. EABSC is known for bottling and distributing Coca-Cola products, and continues to operate plants in Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa, while also expanding its capacity with new facilities.
