Wonji Shoa Sugar Factory, located near Adama in Ethiopia's Oromia Region, is the nation's first and oldest sugar producer, originally established in 1954. A modern, replacement factory was commissioned in 2013 to handle a 6,250 tons-cane-per-day (TCD) capacity, with potential to produce over 174,000 tons of sugar annually. Currently supplying products like sugar,molasses & Confectionary (candy) to the market.
