Phibela Industrial PLC, a flagship subsidiary of the Belayneh Kindie Business Group (BKG), is a massive agro-industrial complex located in the Bure Integrated Agro-Industrial Park in Ethiopia's Amhara Region. As one of the largest edible oil refineries in Africa, the facility boasts a massive daily production capacity of over 1.5 million liters, significantly bolstering Ethiopia's food security and import substitution goals. The company’s diverse operations extend beyond refined edible oils (palm, soybean, and sunflower) to include the manufacturing of soap and detergents, margarine, shortening, and high-quality packaging materials like PET bottles and cardboard cartons. Furthermore, Phibela operates a sophisticated sesame processing plant that produces value-added goods such as hulled sesame and tahini for export, making it a critical hub for industrial growth and employment in the West Gojjam Zone.
